My foray into composing modern Christian music was the result of frustration with much of today’s contemporary Christian music. It is often great to listen to, but the vocal lines are often difficult. And many great-sounding audio tracks simply fall flat when used for congregational singing unless there is a great line up of vocalists.

And so, I had an inkling to write a few Christian songs for our local church They had to have a distinctly modern style, and they had to be easy for the congregation to sing. And be uplifiting !
My first composition was Sun and Worship, in a style slightly influenced by the Australian psychadelic folk band ‘Tully’ who wrote the soundtrack to the surf movie ‘Sea of Joy’ (1971).

Sun and Worship was well received, whilst the lyrics reflect life on the Australian east coast. I went on to write other Christian songs in various styles.
Reverie is an instrumental suitable for pre-service, or during communion or prayers.
